I’d like to work with the technical tools of my chosen career field everyday if possible, and have as much independence in doing so as possible. Something as physical as any skilled tradesman might expect, however predominately mentally taxing in difficulty an easily predictable place of business is a must as I would like to develop a workshop of sorts.
I’m expecting compensation around entry level for my area of specialization twenty dollars and hour or so increasing with inflation and given a generous benefit package along with a title of Computer Support Specialists providing technical assistance to computer system users. Answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location while providing assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
As for environment large corporation or government organization is best for me as I expect a certain level of standard enforced on facilities maintenance with a corporate culture that is none competitive and focused more on teamwork than individualism. A time with the Best Buy Geek Squad as a Double Agent might be my best option to stay locally in my suburban setting.
